WHAT IS BP-IIUM GEMILANG??

BP has been collaborating with International Islamic University Malaysia since 1997. Over the last 10 years, BP has sponsored BP IIUM Gemilang in running all the activities. The Mentoring Project has also brought the objectives of BP to educate the society through science and technology. In addition, BP IIUM Gemilang is the first community service programme through a joint collaboration between International Islamic University Malaysia, Ministry of Education and BP Asia Pacific (M). Furthermore, this Mentoring Project is a win-win project to raise the educational aspirations of schools children in UPSR examination and encourage them to pursue their study to the highest level of education.

As a model, the mentors have to be honest in their relationship with their charges. On the other way, mentees must also obey and respect their mentors to create a good relationship. Each mentor will guide 2 mentees for about 2 or 3 years. Usually, relationship between mentors and mentees will last forever although the mentees are no longer in this project.
